內(nèi)容簡(jiǎn)介The scientific history of TiO2 pigment goes back more than 100 years. Commercial production already started in Germany in 1916, Today, TiO2 pigment production is dominantly done by means of the chlorine route, which requires a very special refractory brick such as DURRATH H045. This paper deals with the chlorine process and the specific technical requirements necessary to enable long and continuous operation of chlorinators. In view of the results achieved so far from more than ten years of chlorinator operation, DURRATH HD45 offers the lowest life cycle cost in the industry.
