內容簡介The requirement for flexibility in tunnel kilns has changed during the last years. Today customers sometimes have to run small orders with different firing temperatures in the same kiln. Older kilns are not designed for such a variable production. Shuttle kilns are a very flexible, but, especially in high temperature operation, a very costly solution because of high energy consumption. Modem tunnel kilns in light-weight design are an excellent solution for flexible kiln operation. They allow rapid changes of temperatures and firing curves, and due to prefabrication possibilities they need a shorter time for assembly and commissioning. Modern lightweight refractories allow the achievement of temperatures up to 1700 °C.
