內(nèi)容簡(jiǎn)介SiC powder and CIP SiC green bodies containing Fe_2O_3 from 0 to 0.5 mass percent were oxidized in air at 1000-1400 deg C for up to 3 hrs. Following results were obtained.1) The beginning temperature of oxidation of SiC powder decreased with an addition of Fe_2O_3 dropping from 570 deg C at 0 percent to a minimum of 517 deg C at 0.3 percent Fe_2O_3.2) Oxidation mass gain became highest at 1200 deg C in both powder and green bodies.3) In case of green bodies, the oxidation mass gain showed a tendency to decrease with an addition of Fe_2O_3 at 1200 deg C and became the least at 0.3 mass percent addition.4) At 1000 deg C and 1400 deg C, the mass gain of powder and pressed bodies showed a tendency to increase slightly with an addition of Fe_2O_3. However, the change of mass gain with Fe_2O_3 content was smaller than that in case of green bodies.5) XRD intensity ratio of the oxidation product cristobalite to the base material SiC became larger with an increase of Fe_2O_3 content at 1200 deg C and was a maximum at 0.3 mass percent addition. The crystallinity of the cristobalite oxidation layer was better with Fe_2O_3 than that without Fe_2O_3. In case of 1400 deg C, XRD intensity ratio of sample with Fe_2O_3 was larger than that without Fe_2O_3 and became the largest at 0.1 mass percent Fe_2O_3 addition.
