內(nèi)容簡介It is possible to use chrome-free linings for glass furnace regenerators.For the roof lining, one potential material is silica brick, which has good creep resistance. Another possibility is high purity and high temperature burnt magnesia brick, which has much less reactivity to alkali.Though the concept of the upper part of the sidewall is almost the same, it is necessary to consider the insulation and creep characteristics of the magnesia brick lining, because the heat radiation loss from magnesia bricks is rather high.Spinel brick is recommendable for the middle section of the checker lining, where the bricks are exposed to severe sulfur and alkali attack.Chrome-free linings using these bricks are presently in service with successful performance.
