內容簡介A low carbon MgO-C brick for refining vessels is required to decrease the energy loss by thermal radiation from the steel shell of the vessel and to improve the steel quality by limiting the migration of carbon from the bricks to the molten steel. However, current low carbon MgO-C bricks do not have satisfactory spalling resistance. We tried to apply a nano-size carbon black (hereafter called Nano-CB) and a hybrid graphite black made from the Nano-CB (hereafter called HGB) " to a matrix of MgO-C brick and obtained hopeful results for spalling resistance and other specific properties.
