內(nèi)容簡(jiǎn)介MgO-C bricks for converters are superior in corrosion resistance and spalling resistance, but inferior in the decrease of durability and increased heat loss due to oxidation. The present paper reports a study that was carried out on the effect of carbon content on the thermal characteristics of MgO-C bricks. The advantageous effect of low carbon content was shown from the view points of heat loss reduction and shell protection through reduction of the steel shell temperature.
