內容簡介As the result of preparing the ternary system clinker with TiO_2 added to MgO-NiO system material and investigating the resulting refractory characteristics, the following conclusions were obtained;1) Due to the addition of TiO_2, very dense clinker was obtained.2) Compared with sintered magnesia and fused magnesia, the hydration resistance of the newly developed material was improved.3) Thermal expansion of newly developed material was a little higher compared with the other magnesia sources and itdisplayed a residual expansion property and also hysteresis characteristic.4) The penetration of iron oxide into brick in the crucible corrosion test was extremely low.5) The corrosion resistance of this newly developed material in the rotary corrosion test was improved about 30 percent compared with that of magnesia-chrome system bricks.Judging from above conclusions, there is a good possibility that MTN clinker can be a substitute material for chrome containing material, at least for corrosion resistance. It is possible to apply the newly developed material as a raw material for porous refractories and basic castables and also as the magnesia source for MgO system bricks because of reduced penetration of iron oxide into the structure
