內容簡介The international organization for clay science is called the International Association for Study of Clays (Association Internationale pour l'Etude des Argiles, hereafter referred to as the AIPEA)1', and it holds an International Clay Conference every 4 years. The 13th International Clay Conference, in 2005, was held in Japan (at Waseda University in Tokyo) under the joint sponsorship of the Clay Science Society of Japan and the AIPEA, and the 14th International Clay Conference in Italy (at Castellaneta Marina) was held under the joint sponsorship of the Italian Clay Society and the AIPEA. About 700 participants, including many Japanese researchers, attended the conference, which provided them with an opportunity for discussion and debate in a friendly atmosphere.
