內容簡介Contrary to commonly used Portland cement of the lime and silica system that is mainly used for civil engineering and building construction, alumina cement is a general term for calcium aluminates of the lime and alumina system. Alumina cement is also referred to as: 1 Aluminous Cement, 2 Calcium Alumi-nate Cement and 3 High Alumina Cement. The market quantity of alumina cement is not so large as that of Portland cement, and the annual domestic consumption in Japan is estimated ca. 50,000 t. It is mainly used for 1 heat resistance, 2 ultra high early strength, and 3 chemical resistance (acid resistance), all of which are considered to be characteristic uses as shown in Fig. 1.
