內容簡介Until today, Japan has maintained a philosophy regarding natural resources that the supply of raw materials should match with the needs for manufacturing of "material goods", but hereafter, the purchasing of resources is considered to become more difficult. At present, there are problems with resources, such as their depletion, the unequal distribution of resources from a geopolitical point of view, the oligopoly of the major countries, the nationalism of resources, the environmental concerns and issues globally, and other factors, have become topics of active discussion. The worldwide mass production, mass consumption, and mass consumption-based economies are considered to be the core problems, and these trends have been accelerated by the recent rise in the BRIC economies (Brazil, Russia, India, and China). China was formerly a resource producing and exporting country ranked No. 3 in the world (about 12% of the deposits in the world), but recently they have converted into a resource importing and consuming country (manufacturer for the world and mega-market), with associated changes in their former conventional marketing structure. Refractory raw materials are partly comprised of mineral resources under the aforementioned environment of resources.
