內容簡介Refractory resources have played an important role as materials to support the foundation of essential industries such as steel, glass, ceramics and cement, making possible the sudden rise of modern industry. Also with the enlargement of industrial scale during the postwar period and the concurrent intensification of the resource supply requirements, the resource supply has been stabilized as a result of improved utilization through advanced technologies such as longer service life and recycling of refractory materials. At present, in the complex industrialization that is rapidly progressing in many countries as well as in Brazil, Russia, India, China (BRIC), various changes are occurring in the supply-demand situation of refractory raw material resources. In the beginning of the use of refractories, researches on the genesis, output situation and the exploration methods for refractory resources were initiated in the fields of geology and mineralogy. As a result, a lot of the researches were actively delivered both before and after the war. However the author feels that recently research and information on the fundamental themes about resources have become markedly fewer.
